5 Business Lessons You Can Learn from Apple

Although most people probably think there is an esoteric knowledge that Apple is not sharing with the rest of the world, this company is just really good at getting the simple things right. Like many of the other successful businesses in the world, Apple focuses on getting the simple things right before worrying about anything else in their company. Sometimes the fundamental aspects of a great business are what get overlooked by the people who are trying to copy someone else to succeed.

1.) The first thing that you need to do when you are coming up with a new product or service is that you need to make sure that it is actually better than anything else on the market. It’s much easier to sell a product when you know it is better than all the other options on the market because you won’t have to feel like you are lying to your customers when you tell them that you have the best deal on the best product. The easiest way to make a sale is to worry about creating the perfect product and not trying to build the perfect team of salesmen.

2. )The next thing that you need to think about when it comes to your new business is simplicity. If it is simple enough for the entire world to understand, then you will be able to make more sales at the end of the day. People do not want to buy something that they have to learn how to use, and they would rather have something that works right away without a lot of technical stuff getting in the way.

3.) Put a lot of time and effort into the design of the product. You may have the best product on the market, but you need to make sure that everyone can see that right away. Make sure that your product looks like the best one on the market in addition to actually functioning as the best one on the market.

4.) Get inspired when you run into a new problem. A new problem just gives you a new opportunity to improve the overall viability of your company. As long as you are pecking away at little problems on a daily basis, you will always be making improvements on your products and staying ahead of the competition with relative ease. There is no such thing as a perfect product, so there should always be room for improvement.

5.) Make sure that everyone is working together. You cannot try to divide your company into many departments because everyone is working towards the same goal at the end of the day. To make sure that you are putting together a company that creates something that fits well at every level of the business, make sure that you have everyone working together.

At the end of the day, you are going to need to do everything that you can to make your own path. While it is a good idea to take some different tips and ideas from various companies, you still need to carve your own path with your new business.

I agree with all of the ‘conditions’. About the design, it would be nice of you get along with Dieter Ram’s “10 Principles of Good Design”.

    Great tips shared here.

Just a tip from myself: Use subheadings next time next to bullet numbers at the start of paragraphs, it’s just easier to read :)
