This article was written for Inspirationfeed by Charles Mburugu. Charles is a professional blogger who likes sharing tips for internet marketers and bloggers. Currently, he is writing for websitetemplates.org. Usability is very important for the success of any site. A website that is usable, enables visitors to find what they are looking for easily and quickly. Here are some tips which can help you enhance the usability of your site. 1. Use a search box A search box is a vital element of any site. Visitors can use it to find what they’re looking for without having to click through multiple pages of the site. It would be advisable to position the search box on the top right section of your pages where it can easily be seen. Make sure it’s at least 25 characters wide to make provision for long search terms. 2. Text legibility Make sure the fonts used on your site are simple and of an appropriate size. This will make the content easily legible across various platforms and browsers. If possible, give your visitors the option of resizing the text as they wish. In addition, you need to ensure that the text on your pages is darker than the background. 3. Link colors You need to take into consideration the colors used for the links that appear on your site. It would be advisable to maintain the default color of blue for all your links, assuming that the rest of your text is black. A light shade of purple would be ideal for visited links. Having such colors will make your links stand out, and therefore easily recognizable to visitors. 4. Make your pages scannable Making your pages scannable enables visitors to glean some information at a glance without having to read through the entire content. You can use relevant headings and sub-headings, as well as paragraphs to break down your content. Bullet points can also be useful for creating a clear list of points. To draw attention to specific texts, you could either bold or underline them. 5. Avoid CAPTCHAs The CAPTCHA is a test which is used to distinguish humans from machines. The disadvantage of using this test is that some people might not understand the characters and symbols used. In addition, some users simply get frustrated when they have to go through a long process before accessing information on a site. Therefore, to ensure a pleasant user experience for all your visitors, it would be advisable to avoid using CAPTCHAs altogether. 6. Use a memorable tagline Take time to think of a short, catchy statement which will summarize what your site or business is all about. This tagline should then be placed in the header of your site, right under the logo. Make sure you have a tagline that will grab the attention of visitors and entice them to look through the pages of your site. 7. Speed Most web users are very impatient. If a web page takes too long to load, they will simply leave and go elsewhere. This is why loading speed is a very important aspect of website usability. Avoid adding unnecessary graphics or images which will only enlarge your file size, thus causing your pages to load slower. In addition, you need to protect your site from the activities of hackers which might affect your loading speeds.

This article was written for Inspirationfeed by Edward Stuart. Edward is an art and decoration enthusiast, as well as an online publisher for Framed Art which provides a variety of bathroom, kitchen, and inspirational art prints. He frequently blogs on the topics of art, art history, design, and home decor. Learning to paint (or draw) well takes years of practice, and on the way it’s not uncommon to get stuck in a rut where you feel like you’re no longer improving, but you still aren’t happy with where you’re at. While some might throw in the towel here and declare that they’re just “not talented enough” there are a few relatively simple steps to break out of your box and figure out a new approach that can further develop your skills. Analyze Art Before you can really make stylistic choices about your own work, you need to be able to know which assumptions you (and others) are making when you’re painting. Draw a very rough sketch of a person. You’ll probably end up with some kind of oval for a head, and a series of oblong roundish things outlining the rest of the body. Why should a head be an oval? Why not some other shape? Picasso used square heads; cartoon characters sometimes don’t even have a real head (think Spongebob), but we still think of them as recognizably anthropomorphic. Think about all of the other things that you make unconscious, and really very arbitrary assumptions about. How do you think about trees, clouds, houses, animals, or flowers? What if it were different? What about colors? Is the sun really yellow or the sky actually blue all the time? Does it even matter how it is in real life? What If you decided to change it? Setting Constraints Once you’ve removed some of the constraints you didn’t know you were setting for yourself you can set new ones. One of my favorite examples is South Park. If you were on Myspace or early Facebook in the early to mid 2000s you’ll remember a south park character builder that went around at some point encouraging people to make south park avatars for themselves or their friends. This is a great example of a highly constrained medium. Everything is limited, from the shape of head and bodies, to clothing, to hair, to facial expressions. While it’s not exactly fine art and I wouldn’t necessarily constrain myself to such an extent, it’s very distinctive and recognizable while still remaining functional. Setting Good Constraints Once you’ve tried that you’ll notice very quickly that setting good rules isn’t as easy as it sounds. The easiest way to learn how to go about it is to borrow from other people’s work. Pick some of your favorite artists and analyze their work. Take note of what assumptions they’re making, and what stylistic choices they’ve decided to make. Then pick up your brush and paint your own version of the same painting. The way to make it work is to add in, or change, one particular constraint that the original artist was operating under. A single rule can fundamentally alter the entire painting, or it can be almost totally unnoticeable. For example if you decided that everything had to be some sort of geometric shape, you would have a much more drastic impact than if you decided that leaves were always red.

This article was written for Inspirationfeed by Katie Elizabeth. Katie is a freelance blogger and content coordinator. She works a lot with a company focusing on web design in PA. In her free time, she enjoys music and travel. With all the buzz around online marketing and SEO, you might assume that printing presses have fallen silent in the midst of the Internet revolution. But one look in your mailbox will show you that print marketing isn’t dead… at least not at the moment. Back in the 1950s, people in film and radio thought their jobs would die in the wake of TV, but both media are alive and well. The same is true for print media. Yes, online marketing might be cheaper and faster, but there’s still a place for brochures, flyers and catalogs. Here are just a few of the places and times where they still have an impact. Networking Events If you attend conferences or seminars empty-handed, you’re missing a great opportunity to drum up more business. Postcards or tri-fold brochures are an affordable, easy-to-carry piece to hand out to your colleagues at your next professional event. Bring a stack of introductory postcards to a community luncheon, or a handful of brochures to a conference. If you want to know how well these pieces work, add a unique code to each stack you print and measure the response rate. Direct mail If you’ve opened up a new business that offers web design, it might take some time to build an online following, even if your website has been up for a while. Print some flyers in the meantime and mail them to local businesses. One way to make sure it doesn’t get tossed aside with the junk mail – I mean, marketing materials – is to offer a new customer discount in big, bold letters, as well as an expiration date on the offer. Local Retailers New York City is known for lots of things, including flyers plastered on every telephone pole and bulletin board. If you’re friendly with local business owners, ask them if you can pin a poster on their walls. Make it big enough so it stands out from the photocopied flyers from other local businesses. If a business office has an end or coffee table in their lobby, ask if you can leave behind some brochures instead. Your Own Office It might seem repetitive to place printed pieces in your own office, but not everyone who walks in is familiar with your business. A brochure on the table is a great takeaway for these passersby. Printed pieces are also great for announcing new products and exciting company news. For instance, existing clients might not know about that new gift set you’re selling, but a postcard with a detailed description is a convenient way to let them know. Don’t put all your marketing dollars into the web just yet. There are still plenty of effective uses for print media, so set aside a small budget for materials that put you in touch with more customers and better sales. Did you enjoy this article?
The only thing you can do to keep up with this 21st century world is to change as the world changes. Seriously, the change nowadays is rapid, and not only when it comes to technology, but also in other aspects. Just look at the art that was made a hundred years ago and you will see that the difference is huge. Many people claim that art is now less important and that we generally focus on more material things and money, but the truth is, we are surrounded by art all the time, we are just not aware of it. For example, when you look at the beautiful building across the street, that is a form of art – architecture. Architecture can be pretty amazing, and architects today come up with millions of different ways to build new houses, flats, etc. But now you might wonder: how can you change yourself to keep up with all the change that’s happening? Well, you can first try to accept all the new ideas that the modern world brings, and thus call yourself a modern man. But the change I want to talk about is of an external nature. To be more concrete, I want to talk about the change you should make in your home to keep up with the 21st century. The thing is, I will not talk about the technological changes but rather about an artistic one. To be more concrete, I am going to talk about the usage of tiles to create the perfect environment. A little something called decoration can change your subconscious Well, as the title says, the place where you reside can very often alter your mood, or even impact some of the very important decisions you make in your life. Your home can also tell you a lot more about yourself, even your deepest secrets, but that is a topic for some other discussion. All you need to know is that people sometimes unconsciously arrange their furniture in order to make them feel better. I like to cover my walls with different post modernistic paintings, but the thing that caught my mind recently was this new way of tile usage. Namely, some people started combining tiles from their bathrooms to make mosaics of different kinds and then putting them to cover their walls in, such as, the bedroom. I did a little research on the net, and found out that there are people, whom I can freely call artists, who do this kind of service. There are different types of tiles, some of which do not even resemble the ordinary tiles that you see each day when you are brushing your teeth or taking a shower. Many materials are used and the possibilities are infinite. Let me tell you a thing or two about how each of these materials can impact you and your decisions, and what impression will your guests have when they see these tiles and the mosaics made from them. A strong will with nerves of steel The first material that caught my eye was stainless steel. I never saw it possible to make tiles out of steel, and whoever did that has my utmost respect. The tiles themselves look very ordinary when they are separated, however, when combined into a mosaic, they give away this very stylish look, and they simply represent you as a modern person. So, if you want your change to go that way and adapt yourself to the modern art as fast as you can, I recommend you to take stainless steel tiles. Steel is a material that swords and all kinds of weapons were made of, and therefore it can impact you in a way that you will become more choleric, and your decisions will be very well planned and very effective. However, stainless steel can also sometimes make your nerves calmer when you are angry, because it also gives off the feeling of tranquility when you look at it. Stainless steel tiles can last for a very long time, and you don’t have to spend too much time cleaning them and generally maintaining them. However, make sure that the steel does not come in touch with acidic food, which can leave a bad mark on it. Glass that reflects your ideas that shine Another type of tiles are glass tiles. It is even more unbelievable to me that tiles can be made of glass, and the persons who made them deserve Nobel Prize (I am exaggerating). Glass tiles are not even fragile as they look, and they reflect the sunshine beautifully. They can cheer you up in the morning and sing a moonlight sonata to you before you go to bed. But their reflection is not their primary feature. Their primary feature is their simplicity and ability to combine with other tiles (most common tile combination seen includes glass and steel). The best mosaics are made when tiles are combined, and glass tiles should always be included in those combinations because they give them a bit of transparency and break the monotony of non-transparent materials. Speaking of transparency, glass can make you become a warmer person who enjoys having a lot of friends around and who generally enjoys life. A stubborn stone upon stone You probably know of stone tiles, and their ability to fit into every kind of environment. Stone mosaics can look beautiful even in old cottages where there is no decoration at all. Stone can make you stand firm on the ground and defend your attitudes, thus making you a very influential person. I am not going to talk about stone as a material, since I’m sure that you already know all about it. To sum up, you should definitely consider mosaics made of tiles, if you want to make some significant change in your life because one of the most powerful things that will make you change yourself is your surroundings. If you change your surroundings, you will definitely change in the way you see fit.

A little something called decoration can change your subconscious

Well, as the title says, the place where you reside can very often alter your mood, or even impact some of the very important decisions you make in your life.

A strong will with nerves of steel

The first material that caught my eye was stainless steel.

However, make sure that the steel does not come in touch with acidic food, which can leave a bad mark on it.

Glass that reflects your ideas that shine

Another type of tiles are glass tiles.

You probably know of stone tiles, and their ability to fit into every kind of environment.
Maintaining productivity at a rapid but high quality level is a daunting task. It can seem overwhelming to even try to begin. How can you keep yourself going without burning out? How do you know that you’re heading down the right road with whatever new initiative you’ve got in your brain? Where should you begin? Are you just crazy? Overcoming doubt and hesitation about creative endeavors — blogging, making videos, coming up with new products — can seem overwhelming in and of itself. Let’s look at tried and true successful techniques and methodologies for maintaining that productivity that you need in order to be profitable in a highly competitive world. Cut to the chase. A super-successful creative man named Neil Peart, who is widely regarded as one of the very best percussionists and one of the very best writers (lyric poetry, essays, and autobiographical writing) in the world, wrote a lyric for his band Rush back in 1994 which stated: “You may be right:/It’s just a waste of time./I guess that’s just the chance I’m prepared to take,/A danger I’m prepared to face./Cut to the chase.” Don’t get lost in hesitation. Trust yourself to begin creating with whatever new writing, content, or product idea you’ve got. If you’re a making a mistake with it, so what? You’ll find out about that and be able to correct it or learn from it a lot faster when you just cut to the chase. Build foundations under your fantasy castles in the air. Henry David Thoreau wrote: “If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost. There is where they should be. Now put foundations under them.” Fantasy is extremely important to the creative life, be it artistic or entrepreneurial or both together. Fantasize big. Think big, no matter how small you may feel. Your big fantasies are what you should be having — not miniscule thoughts or mere daydreams. Once you’ve got one, start building the foundations of anchoring reality under them. Cut to the chase and start doing what you need to do to drag your fantasy existence for all to see. Prototyping – the simplest solution never comes first. You’ve got to begin with rough ideas, rough drafts or first drafts. Even if you have a sudden flash of insight into an idea and think you see it all at once, you then need to figure out how to bring it into hard reality. And that’s probably going to somewhat alter what you initially envisioned. Creativity isn’t a neat, clean, all-at-once process or event. You’re going to jumble your work desk and you’re going to get your hands dirty before you have before you what you want to share with the world. Scope creep this way comes. Scope creep is a term for all of those additional bright ideas that you get once you begin a creative endeavor. Those additional ideas become the problem of scope creep when they start distracting you from focusing on the initial idea that you began work on in the first place. You need to keep yourself focused on that project before you let yourself move on to work on another one. So, keep notepads, sketch pads, and voice recorders close at hand. Make note of the new ideas as they come in (keep it as short as you possibly can, too), but then quickly move back to finishing your initial project. Ritualize your approach. The root meaning of “ritual” is “a something done”. Daily ritualized approaches to completing an endeavor prevent us from getting all caught up in what’s novel or some imagined need for “variety”. They prevent us from getting lost in thinking about the tools instead of thinking about the end product. They also keep us going day after day until we have completed the creative work. They give us a sense that we’re getting something done even when we feel like we didn’t have the most creative or productive day.
Rather than the design of a website, it’s the users that determine your success. You obviously need to get the basics of web designing right, but what is of utmost importance is that you need to deliver a website that a user will like. Doesn’t the client for whom you are designing enter the picture here? Of course the client, essentially the website owner, is important, but all website owners want their websites to be successful and this is only possible if the website meets the expectations of the user. Give the users what they want; this thinking is sound enough, but in order to do that, you need to keep in mind certain user defined principles that will allow you to adopt a user centric approach towards designing your website. Let’s take a look at them: 1. Design with Focus on Quality and Credibility You, me, everybody loves using websites that have been designed professionally and which have high quality content that is relevant to the purpose of the website, is readable, is interesting and which enhances the credibility of the site. Design always plays a supporting role to the content on the site. What is it that users are looking for on a website? It’s information, and not designs; if you offer that information to the users, they are going to be satisfied with the website. The design enters the picture to enhance the delivery of the message. It mustn’t act as a barrier to all the information on the page. 2. Design To Scan and Not to Read Design for short attention spans. Your users don’t have an endless amount of time to spend on your site. So, make your content scan worthy. Give them some anchors which will help them go through the web page they are browsing through, easily and very efficiently. So, how do you ensure that your users are able to scan your site quickly? For one, your textual content shouldn’t be long winding. Keep your sentences short and to the point. If there is something important that you want the user to notice, highlight that content. The placement of all the important parts of your content should be perfect. When users visit the web page their eyes must directly fall on the important content. Create and place it in a way that makes it attention grabbing. 3. Design for User Intuition Users don’t take time out to understand why you have designed a particular web page in a certain way. If they see a design, they depend on their intuition to help them go through the page; but remember this intuition is based on their past memories of using a website. Intuition in part, is born out of learning and remembering. As users go through various websites, they keep building up on their experience of using a website, this leads to them using a particular website with ease. What’s more, they expect certain design elements to be present on all regular web pages; if they don’t find these elements on a page, they might get confused and close the web page. You don’t want that to happen, so you need to design for user intuition. Here again, usability comes into the picture. If your users expect your website to be designed in a certain way, then you will need to give them what they want. 4. Allow Users to be in Control Consistency in data presentation throughout the website means, the users are not prone to confusion. This will essentially mean that users will be able to control their browser easily. Let me give an example; say you are on a site and going through its services page, and there is an unexpected popup; now a popup is all well and good, but this popup interferes with your need to go to a different service page. Result, you will either need to close the popup, and if that is not an option, go where the popup wants to take you. This is not the kind of user experience you want to offer website visitors. You need to make sure that they are able to take charge of their browsing experience when they are on the site. 5. Don’t Sacrifice Function for Form This is what I call the thumb rule of contemporary website design. Yes, your website needs to look good; yes, it needs to feel unique; yes it needs to be engaging; and yes, it needs to be interactive. But, all this shouldn’t happen at the cost of functionality. Form should never override the function of the site. A user wants a website that looks good, but he wants the website to perform even better. At the end of the day, functionality of the site reigns supreme, and design mustn’t impede the information flow of the site. The design must facilitate optimum performance of the site from the user’s perspective. End Words Give importance to the user. That’s the bottom line while designing your website. All your designing decisions, the choice of design elements, their placement and everything and anything else, must be dependent on the user’s expectations from your site. This brings us to an important question? How do you know what the user wants? This knowledge doesn’t come out of thin air, but is a result of conducting thorough research into the needs and requirements of your target audience. You need to understand what they want, the kind of information that they are looking for, and whether they are really keen on going through a website that is visually intensive. This will give you an idea of the balance between visuals and function that is required on your site. A user orientation in designing doesn’t come easy; it takes time and a lot of effort. What it also needs is a lot of experience with respect to putting yourself in the user’s shoes and thinking like the user. But it will come, if you put in the effort required.

Let’s take a look at them:

1. Design with Focus on Quality and Credibility

You, me, everybody loves using websites that have been designed professionally and which have high quality content that is relevant to the purpose of the website, is readable, is interesting and which enhances the credibility of the site.

2. Design To Scan and Not to Read

Design for short attention spans.

3. Design for User Intuition

Users don’t take time out to understand why you have designed a particular web page in a certain way.

4. Allow Users to be in Control

Consistency in data presentation throughout the website means, the users are not prone to confusion.

5. Don’t Sacrifice Function for Form

This is what I call the thumb rule of contemporary website design.

End Words

Give importance to the user.

Copyright laws aren’t easy to understand, especially when they’re quite similar to trademark and patent laws. If you have something that you’ve authored, whether it’s a short story, a piece of art, a photograph or a new song, you have an automatic copyright. As long as something that you’ve created is tangible, it can’t legally be used or taken by any other parties. That doesn’t mean that other people won’t use your work, though. Make sure you have a good understanding of copyright law should you ever need it in the future. What the Difference Between Copyrights, Trademarks and Patents? The main difference between copyrights, trademarks and patents is the specific creation that’s being protected: A copyright protects any type of authorship. Poems, song lyrics, memoirs and paintings, for example, all fall under copyright law. Basically, anything that’s a physical expression of an idea has a copyright. Trademarks protect identifying marks. A company logo, for example, would fall under trademark law. Patents protect inventions. What Does a Copyright Include? There are three main components of a copyright: The copyright owner is the only person with exclusive rights to the work. The owner of the copyright is the only person who can distribute the work. The owner can, if they want to, allow other people to distribute or sell the work. What is Copyright Infringement? When a work that’s been recorded in some physical form, there are several ways that other people can use the work illegally, including: Creating derivative materials Display the material in a public area Distributing copies of the work Performing the material in a public setting Reproducing the work Transmitting the audio of the work digitally What Does Piracy Mean? The term “piracy” is a bit old fashioned, but it’s still used by some people today. Piracy refers to the use of a copyrighted work without permission, primarily when the work is used to somehow gain financially. “Video piracy” is a commonly used phrase and it refers to bootleg copies of movies being sold for money. What is the Process of Copyright Litigation? Copyright litigation is done on a federal level, not a state level. That means that copyright litigation can only take place in a federal courtroom. First, the owner of the copyright has to show that their work was taken without permission. Then, the copyright owner must prove that they sustained damages of some kind. This is often easy to prove if the person who stole the material also sold it. Next, the copyright owner has to show that the material that was taken was protected under a copyright. Assuming the defendant does not win the case, they will be directed to stop using the material. They may also be directed to pay damages to the copyright owner. Does the Defendant Have Any Defense in Copyright Litigation? Sometimes a defendant may be able to claim that they were operating under “Fair Use,” which is a part of freedom of speech. This means that anybody can reprint a work if they are going to comment on it. As long as the original material is changed or added to in some way, it’s considered a new piece of work.
For any online business, a perfectly designed website is the basic ingredient. It’s not easy to get a professionally designed website reflecting the true business objectives. From many options of web designing available, it’s a tough task to pick the one best who could deliver the design as expected. More than just hiring a designer, it also involves professional collaboration to get an attractive as well as effective website. In this piece of writing, few tips would be given for effective collaboration with the web designers. 1. Homework Is Necessary The first important step to find professionally expert web designers is to hunt for appealing web designs. The recommended option is to visit competitors’ websites at first and then go for what inspires you. The key factor is to find a web designer who has the same designing taste as you, as the website owner, have. Do ask from your friends about any expert designer or a design firm they know. It’s a better approach rather than going the Google way and picking one option from the never-ending lists presented. Other than just considering the taste of the web designer or the designing firm, also check the expertise by having a look at their portfolio. It happens that web designer has some particular skill or expertise of making certain kind of websites, so do check this aspect before actually handing over the work. 2. Knowledge Of The Basics Is The Main Ingredient Many web design clients don’t have the basic knowledge of web designing or the terms linked to this field, so they find it hard to understand the designers’ language. Many web designers complain that they have to explain to the designing clients the difference between a domain name, a website, and a web host. So, before hiring any designer or a design company, you will have to gain the basic knowledge in order to deal with them clearly. 3. Get Ready For Collaboration A successful web designing project isn’t just the miracle of web designers, but how effectively the clients communicate with them also matters a lot. Providing the designers with your input is necessary to get the desired response. Expert designers of web design Glasgow firm keep this factor at top of the list while working on any project. Mostly, web design clients ask the designers they hire to get the work done within specified time. They don’t collaborate with them throughout the designing process. Experts say that collaboration should be there form start till end to get the work done as per expectations. 4. Stay Comfortable With The Designers Another important ingredient to get the expected work from the web designers is to stay comfortable with them. After the prospect finishes the online questionnaire, go for a brief call to determine whether everything is clear between both of you or not. That first phone call of 20-30 minutes would set the tone for rest of the project. 5. Include Details In The Project Include everything in the payment project like the payment schedule, revisions allowed, and the timeline. Some designer or the design firms are flexible and offer as many small changes as the client wants, but not all are tolerant to such things. Clients should also be aware of putting down some deposit before actually starting the work. 6. Show Honesty, Avoid Criticism Web designers provide the designing clients with a mock-up before actually getting started with the design work. This stage of collaboration is critical, as it directs where the future web designing work will go. Experts say that web design clients should behave honestly to get a unique design that could appeal to the prospects. Over-criticising disturbs the web designers and they don’t feel fresh to work on the project with dedication. 7. Be Strong At Your End The task of web designers is to provide the clients with technical and visual framework. It’s the responsibility of the client to provide the designers with the content. Hiring some expert copywriter can solve the problem. Copywriters know how to write for the end users in a way that could appeal the search engines. Make it sure that the text is reflective of the real business objectives of the client. 8. Decide When It’s Needed Most of the web design projects fail or cost high due to the sudden changes. Many clients don’t understand how long it takes to implement certain changes, so it increases the time to finish the project and the cost incurred. Misunderstandings arise, which affect the project badly, so timely decision is needed the most. A successful web designing project depends greatly on the efforts of web designers and the collaboration of the client. So, not a single party can be declared responsible for the effective or flawed web design. If you know any more tips on the discussed-above topic, share below. Many web designers complain that they have to explain to the designing clients the difference between a domain name, a website, and a web host. So, before hiring any designer or a design company, you will have to gain the basic knowledge in order to deal with them clearly.

3. Get Ready For Collaboration

A successful web designing project isn’t just the miracle of web designers, but how effectively the clients communicate with them also matters a lot.

4. Stay Comfortable With The Designers

Another important ingredient to get the expected work from the web designers is to stay comfortable with them. After the prospect finishes the online questionnaire, go for a brief call to determine whether everything is clear between both of you or not. That first phone call of 20-30 minutes would set the tone for rest of the project.

5. Include Details In The Project

Include everything in the payment project like the payment schedule, revisions allowed, and the timeline. Some designer or the design firms are flexible and offer as many small changes as the client wants, but not all are tolerant to such things. Clients should also be aware of putting down some deposit before actually starting the work.

6. Show Honesty, Avoid Criticism

Web designers provide the designing clients with a mock-up before actually getting started with the design work. This stage of collaboration is critical, as it directs where the future web designing work will go. Experts say that web design clients should behave honestly to get a unique design that could appeal to the prospects. Over-criticising disturbs the web designers and they don’t feel fresh to work on the project with dedication.

7. Be Strong At Your End

The task of web designers is to provide the clients with technical and visual framework. It’s the responsibility of the client to provide the designers with the content. Hiring some expert copywriter can solve the problem. Copywriters know how to write for the end users in a way that could appeal the search engines. Make it sure that the text is reflective of the real business objectives of the client.

8. Decide When It’s Needed

Most of the web design projects fail or cost high due to the sudden changes.

It should be understood up front, that the best looking website on earth won’t do you much good if your content is terrible. The way a website looks and feels definitely takes a back seat to the quality and usefulness of the content; just take Craigslist for example. It hasn’t changed in years but it’s still one of the most visited sites on the planet. Yet if your content is solid, and your website’s design is outdated or just plain unpleasant, you’re doing yourself a disservice and reducing the effectiveness of your content. Navigation: The most basic reason why the look and feel of your site matters is for the ease of your reader’s navigation. If someone gets to your site and can’t find what they’re looking for relatively easily, they aren’t likely to stick around for very long. The aesthetics of your website actually can assist in the area of navigation by softening up what the user sees. Border shading, neutral colors and adequately sized text all go into making the interface easier to navigate through. Bounce Rate: While most internet users will see past the look of a website and at least give it a chance, there are a certain percentage of internet users who will write a website off immediately simply because of the poor quality of the interface. Improving the aesthetical appeal can help keep your bounce rate down a little lower by not giving these users a reason to abandon your website so quickly. Simple and minimal trends: Minimal interfaces and neutral colors are definitely “in” when it comes to web design trends and it’s not likely to change anytime soon. The nice thing about that for you, is that it makes the task of improving the look of your site a lot easier. You won’t need to worry about a great deal of color or flashy bells and whistles. Just a simple interface with nice subtle colors and dark text with a white background will usually do the trick. You should always take time to add shading and smoothing CSS or CSS3 effects. Though the baseline design standard is definitely being simplified to make life easier for the reader. Avoiding the boxed-out look: Adding some simple CSS or CSS3 effects can really help abolish the dreaded “boxed” look a website can take on. You definitely don’t want to do overboard with these, so sticking with some of these subtle options is a safe bet: Border Shading Box Shadows Border Radius Opacity Professionalism The overall professionalism and first impression of your website will ultimately have a lot more to do with how it looks before your content has any say in the matter. Taking time to keep this aspect of your page up to date and attended to will offer an immediate feel of professionalism that isn’t there on pages with ugly and disorganized interfaces. However you style your page and keep up with the aesthetics is up to your own creativity and whatever niche your website is in. Just keep in mind that subtle effects, minimalistic formats and ease of navigation are tops in terms of web design standards and trends.
