L7m, was born in the countryside of São Paulo, in 1988. Since his childhood he had a strong magnetic pull to art. Testing out his talent in numerous contests, L7m won many awards. When he turned 13, L7m discovered the wonderful world of graffiti. Headed in a new direction, he began to experiment with new techniques and mixtures such as china ink, latex, pastel, and acrylic.

Today we collected a few of L7m’s beautiful murals for your inspiration. People in general have mixed feeling and viewpoints on graffiti. Without getting into a debate, I would like for you to simply focus on the artwork. I think the elegance, geometry, and colors of his work are undeniably beautiful. Enjoy!

Freestanding Card Structures by Bryan Berg

Meet Bryan Berg, he’s a professional cardstacker.

At an early age of eight, Bryan was introduced to card-stacking by his grandfather. From then on he was hooked. This new exciting hobby led him to discovering new techniques on his own. His freestanding card structures are based on a grid-like arrangement, which can support up to 660 lbs per square foot! Keep in mind that he doesn’t use tape, glue, folding, or any other tricks you might suspect.

Berg has held the Guinness World Record for the Tallest House of Freestanding Playing Cards since 1992. Since then, Bryan has been commissioned numerous times to break his own records. He currently tours around the world showing off his incredible skills. Today we’ve collected a few of his amazing works for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!

I love it when I randomly find talented graphic artists. I guess you can say that everything happens for a reason right? California based artist and graphic designer Arian Behzadi create amazing mixed media collages. His choice of colors are very gentle, giving you an emotionally rewarding feeling.

Born in Asturias, Northern Spain, Maximo Riera has been a practicing artist for over thirty years. Maximo has now retired from his professional life in the medical industry, and dedicates his full-time to his imagination. He spends almost every day painting and sculpting in his studio. His latest project is the Animal Chair collection.

“Each chair retains the animal’s natural vitality whilst being totally biological accurate in their appearance. This collection is homage to these animals and the whole animal kingdom which inhabits our planet, as an attempt to reflect and capture the beauty of nature in each living thing.” - Maximo Riera

Apart from being a great artist, Maximo is kind human being as well. Throughout his career he held several exhibitions and events for his work, with all proceeds going to charity. Below you will find his dynamic work. These limited editions 353lb chairs are made in high density polyurethane and range from £35,000 – £65,000 per chair. 4 Graffiti Artists to Watch in 2013

Graffiti artists these days are a dime a dozen. It doesn’t take much for someone to snatch up a spray can and paint the name of their clique on a wall for people to see. However, to produce poignant, artful images is another story.

Many taggers do it for the rush, others to incite social awareness, and some even for the thrill of running from the cops. But at the heart of the street art movement is the desire for change, or to at least encourage the everyman to open his eyes and question his surroundings. 2013 has already seen amazing work over the last few months, but with the summer approaching, many people are wondering what’s next.

Phlegm

When it comes to large-scale pieces, Sheffield’s own Phlegm is a man worth keeping an eye on. Drawing inspiration from the characters in his own Phlegm Comic, this UK bad boy uses graffiti as a way to reinvigorate run down areas in his hometown and abroad.

There are many recurring themes in his work, but he is often drawn toward simplicity that over time becomes more complex, such as the expansion of ecosystems. One of his latest pieces, a collaboration with London artist, RUN, was painted for the Chichester Street Art festival and occupies nearly the entire side of a building.

Have you ever wondered what everyday items might look like in 100 years? Maico Akiba, a Japaneese illustrator/sculptor, decided to answer that question with his new project titled ”100 Years Later.” Like the name suggests, Maico fabricated rust paint and moss onto every day objects to give them an archaeological look. This corrosion project definitely infuses you with an apocalyptic feeling. Enjoy!

Trash to Treasure: 40 Creative Recycled and Repurposed Artworks

As the saying goes, “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” The talented artists, behind the works you’re about to see, view the world differently. They see incredible possibility in the junk we blindly throw away on a daily basis. Not only do they contribute art for us, but to the world itself. Thanks to the integration of recyclable items, their artwork actually spares items that would end up in the landfill.

Sometimes I get depressed about how we’re treating this Planet. We constantly contribute to the ongoing pollution by dumping non-biodegradable waste and toxic chemicals. This lazy approach can’t be good for our future generations. I’m sure people in 3013 will think that we were a bunch of uneducated and uninformed idiots trashing the planet like it was our frat house basement. Many people want to use the “everybody else is doing it,” and “I can’t make a difference anyway” excuses. But quite frankly that’s a bunch of BS. Doing something about the problems our world faces, instead of tuning out, shows character.

I’m constantly amazed by brilliant minds that spend their valuable time bringing joy in the form of art to others. Seeing creative individuals reusing, restoring, recycling, and repurposing things for a greater good gives me hope. If all the junk was converted into art, the entire world would be a huge art museum. Enjoy!
