Rogier de Boeve is a graphic designer based in Belgium. He started creating digital graphics about 7 years ago. As he gained more design experience, he took part in online art groups such as Evokeone, Konvulse, and SlashThree. The feedback he received gave him the confidence to start a career in graphic design. He decided to elevate his skills by getting a masters in graphic design from a Belgian University. Mechanical 3D Digital Art by Kazuhiko Nakamura

Kazuhiko Nakamura was born in Hyogo, Japan in 1961. Being greatly influenced by surrealism and cyberpunk styles of art when he was young, Kazuhiko started to study and tech himself the ins and outs of 3D digital art. Using his spare time to do this, his practice snowballed into the amazing works you’ll see today. In 2004, his art was featured on major CG art websites. Since then Kazuhiko received positive appreciation from other artists and fans. One reviewer commented, “Kazuhiko Nakamura’s art is a surreal hybrid of man and machine, a hard marriage of metal and flesh.” Enjoy!

Vigan Tafili, aka nagiViTy, is a 17 years old artist from Peja, Kosovo. His first contact with computer arts was when he was 13 years old. Vigan started as a photographer, continued as a photo editor, and finally became a digital artist. Using mainly Adobe Photoshop to create his artwork, the outcomes are absolutely incredible. Emeric Trahand, also known as Takeshi, is a New York based art director and artist from Saint Etienne, France. Emeric’s illustrative work is renowned for its surreal feel, the quality of its photomontages as well as the light treatments and colorful compositions.

Although Emeric has had a rather short career, beginning as a freelance illustrator in 2006 in France, he has already been commissioned by a diverse array of major international clients. His work has been featured in numerous publications, and he is a regular contributor to the international digital illustration magazines Computer Arts and Advanced Photoshop. His work is very influential and serves as great inspiration.

The Imaginary Foundation is a think tank from Switzerland that does experimental research on new ways of thinking and the power of the imagination. They hold dear a belief in human potential and seek progress in all directions. The small clandestine team is headed up by the mysterious “Director,” a 70-something über-intellectual whose father founded the Dadaist movement. Avoiding direct publicity, the team has sought clothing as an unlikely vehicle for bringing their ideas beyond the academic realm and into popular culture.

In his vision for the Imaginary Foundation, the Director knew that the human mind has more than one mode, that indeed it has an “ecology” of being. He knew that imagination, intuition, inspiration are basic to psyche… A philosophy of research began to form: imagination as fundamental to all learning; artistic making as a model of integrating vision, materials, structure, and imagery. The following works are just a few created by The Imaginary Foundation. Enjoy!
