No matter how elegant a watch looks, if it does not fit you, you are likely to look like a kid wearing a watch won from a cereal box.
Choose a size that perfectly accommodates your wrist.
One that is neither too tight nor loose.
You can determine the perfect size by measuring the circumference of your wrist.
1. Choose the Right Watch Size for Your Wrist
No matter how elegant a watch looks, if it does not fit you, you are likely to look like a kid wearing a watch won from a cereal box. Choose a size that perfectly accommodates your wrist.

2. Quartz Movement vs. Automatic: Which is Better?
The glitz and glam of the watch are often useless if it does not operate well. To ensure that the dial is always on the move, make sure your choice is smart.
When it comes to reliability, there are two options: automatic or quartz. Quartz requires batteries and its second hand is often responsible for making the famous tick-tock sound because its movement has lapses of a second in between.
On the contrary, an automatic watch runs with the motion of your wrist and therefore does not require batteries.
3. Strap Up
The most evident way to express your unique style with a watch is through its strap. Metal links often hold up better and are quite versatile.
Canvas and NATO styles are rather utilitarian and casual whereas leather bands go quite well with a suit.
In the end, it all matters if it suits your wrist and complements your personality well so choose accordingly.
4. Consider Face and Case Size
You can find travel watches in a variety of sizes today. The normal (more like traditional) dial is usually preferred for formal events whereas the oversized dials usually go well with the casual everyday style.
The choice is still yours to make because you know better about your style and comfort than anyone else. Whatever you do, always make sure that the watch is complementing both, your personality and the occasion.
5. Simple or Technical?
An era where baby boomers, generation X and generation Z, all are existing at the same time, almost any style is acceptable.
Some people have a minimalistic style and only prefer their watch to have hands with no fancy dials; the straps are preferred to be thinner with BNW or pastel colors.
Others might prefer to have their watch tell them temperature, news, Facebook/Instagram and Twitter notifications and just about everything along with time.
It is mostly one’s own choice and the things they consider essential to have on their wrist.
