60 Creative Examples of Food Packaging Design
Design is everywhere you look, including food packaging. Every single item you buy has probably been through a design process. Lets take gum for example, the new orbit gum packages look so cool and unique.
Now you might think, ‘just because something has a good design doesn’t mean im gonna buy it.’ Thats true and i agree as well. But by having a beautiful packaging desing, the elegance of that product will rise. Plus, believe it or not, many people sometimes buy an item just because it looks cooler than the competition. This is sad, but so true. Now I’m not saying, you should sell crap with a good desing on it, what I’m trying to say is that you should sell a quality product with quality packaging. Fascinating to scroll down the pictures and see which stop you in your tracks. For me it was firstly the Irish beef Steak – though not for the reasons the designer probably intended. Also, the Waitrose soups (how clear and concise are they for range/flavour differentiation?) and the Ice Cream “in action” on the Connoisseur brand

For me, the best ones are those which do not seem to be meant for that specific product, like Alter Café, Splenda or Dr Oetker Pop Corn.
I also like Tanzania Coffee and Black Bens Rock.
It’s amazing how really creative designers succeed in going beyond paradigms and traditions to make remarkable works.
