35 Examples of Beautiful Sign Designs

There’s a local pizza restaurant in my town, that has the most hideous sign you can possibly imagine. For obvious reason, I’m not going to mention their name. Their quote on quote “sign,” if you can even call it that, is a huge piece of paper taped behind the glass and looks like it was drawn by a kid with crayons.

Let’s say I’m new in town and I want to grab some food. While driving by the pizza restaurant, I cannot see their sign because it’s already 8pm. Having no idea that this restaurants even exists, I settle for some cheap fast food right down the road. This kind of scenario could have been easily avoided if they had a lit up sign that communicated with me. This is common sense.

For a restaurant that’s been in business for over thirty years and has a 4.5 star review rating on Yelp, one would think that the owner can spend a couple hundred bucks on a beautiful sign. Right?

This little rant was for future/current business owners who are overlooking this simple yet strategic investment in their business. Being cheap and cutting corners is blatantly viewed as laziness. As a business owner, having an elegant sign will spark the consumer’s interest, lead them inside the store, and possibly turn them into a frequent customer.

For your inspiration we collected some beautiful examples of signs that’ll catch your attention. Enjoy!

Terrific examples of why businesses need something extra to emphasize their business. Having a good sign shows that a business is serious and has invested time and thought into their design. That pizza example is horrible! You would think that in today’s time businesses would no better than to at least not have a hand written sign!
