Most people assosiate street art with graffiti and vandalism. But in reality, it can be a lot of things. Technically speaking, street art is visual art created in public locations. It can be a stencil, chalk art, mural, graffiti, wheatpaste poster, street installation, or sculpture. The artists behind these pieces choose the streets to serve as their art gallery.

Street artists tend to travel around the world to reach a broader audience. They do this to communicate their designs or message directly to the public at large. One famous street artist you may already know goes by the name of Banksy. Like many other street artists, he tends to create socially relevant art mostly focusing on political and social issues in our modern day society. His work has gained cult-following, media, and art world attention.

Today we collected some outstanding pieces that are bound to inspire you. You don’t need to be an art critic to appreciate their beauty. Enjoy!
