Yanko Tsvetkov is a visual artist, a dreamer, a freelance graphic designer, a web designer, an illustrator, and can also cook pretty good pasta. Yanko was born in a small town in communist Bulgaria. He had a great childhood with plenty of fresh air and a lot of sun. During his teenage years Yanko studied in a German school, followed by a year and a half service in the Bulgarian Navy.
He went to university at the beginning of the century to study movie directing and later graduated as a director of photography. In the meantime Yanko became a web and graphic designer and gradually added illustration to the whole fucking mess. His recent project called “The Mapping Stereotypes Project,” is a cool idea turned into reality!
Yanko decided to create world maps based on people views and opinions. People often stereotype and judge books by their covers. This concept is a great way to take a look at what ‘foreigners’ think of your country. Enjoy!
