I think full-screen websites provide a vivid experience for the user. Seeing the entire picture, rather that a boxed layout, is very pleasing and makes me feel like I’m virtually visiting a new real estate. I know that might sounds a bit out there, but it’s the way I feel. If you technically think about it, websites are basically virtual property. People buy and sell homes in the ‘Real World,’ and the same goes for the ‘Internet World.’

When you’re designing a full-screen website, you should focus on utilizing the empty space on the page. I’m not advocating complexity, but something that will capture the viewer’s attention in a captivating way. Flash is dying slowly, and these days Javascript and HTML5 make it perfectly feasible to make use of the user’s entire monitor. Full-screen websites are also a great way to flaunt beautiful photography, designs, and typography.

Today we would like to share with you thirty well designed full-screen websites. We collected websites that grabbed our attention, which resulted in further exploration and clicking. This is the exact effect you should replicate for your full-screen website. You must make the user feel irresistibly curious. Enjoy!
