If you are planning to create an application, or any other website you should really consider having a coming soon page. All you have to do is sign up, point your domain to the right spot and let the emails roll in. It’s much easier than paying for a host, setting up ftp accounts and installing WordPress for a single page.

Great post. However, if someone wants a quick DIY solution without configuring wordpress themes they could also try out http://www.kickofflabs.com/. We make it really easy for someone to have a viral launch landing page up in 60 seconds.
