Here are 7 apps that will make life easier for the web specialist who’s looking to save time and energy. Be sure to give one or two a try as some of them are excellent.

Mighty Deals – Great deals on services for web savvy consumers.

Everyone is always looking for a good deal, and Mighty Deals does have quite a few of them. From website themes to font packages they have a lot of items that an affiliate marketer would need and use. They have a ‘daily deals’ section that sometimes has a great item, and they usually don’t have a lot of junk although, unless you make a lot of websites, you probably won’t use a lot of what they have to offer.

Best feature – No registration, no fees.

5 Minutes – Basic websites quickly and easily.

The web moves at lightning fast speed and sometimes it’s hard to keep up. 5 Minutes knows this, and offers something that no other web service does- a fully functional website in 5 Minutes or less. They actually guarantee that, in less than 5 minutes, you can register the domain of your choice, pick a template, set up email, register on social networks, get secured backups and be up and running. Payment pages and other, higher-end items are not included in the basic website however and do cost extra.

Best Feature – When you sign up you get a free domain name.

NeedFood – The grocery list for picture people

NeedFood is an iPhone app that makes putting together your next  grocery list a snap or, to be more precise, a snap pea.  Instead of the old, boring ‘shopping list’ NeedFood give you an app full of colorful food icons (over 540) that you can use to build your shopping list. No need to type, just tap. It’s customizable, simple and actually kind of fun. It’s easier than typing on a small keyboard, but the drawback is you can’t leave yourself notes because it’s all pictures.

Best Feature- You can create custom icons your favorite foods.

Instapaper – Bookmark it now, read it later.

Instapaper is an app for people who love to read articles on the web but don’t always have time during their busy day to get to them all. With a simple tap on the ‘Read Later’ icon, Instapaper bookmarks the article and saves it for reading when you have time. Simple, easy and intuitive, with Instapaper you won’t miss out on a great article. One caveat; this app is super basic. If you’re looking for a bookmark app with a lot of bells and whistles this isn’t the one you need.

Best Feature – It’s a simple, no-nonsense tool.

Jump Desktop – Control your computer, control your life.

Have you ever been half-way to the office when you realize that you forgot a file on your home PC? With Jump Desktop you can get that info or access that file from anywhere, using practically any device. Jump Desktop  is a full featured RDP and VNC client and can connect to existing RDP and VNC servers using just an IP address or host name. That’s convenient, powerful and a major time and stress saver. The only problem I can see is that you need Gmail to run a lot of it and there are a lot of folks who hate Gmail.

Best Feature – Use your Gmail account to manage your computer connections from virtually any device.

WordPress for iOS – iPad gets its blog on.

WordPress for iOS actually takes some of the tedium out of blogging. The app takes full advantage of the new iPad interface and, if you’re familiar with iPad, you should have a much easier time making notes and putting in pics and videos.  I would recommend this for serious bloggers only because it does have a learning curve.

Best Feature – Tap the Geotag icon and your readers know where you are, instantly.

TapBots – Helpful apps for boring stuff.

To be honest, TapBots is an interesting concept but a bland product. With these apps (that they like to call Bots) you can track your weight(WeightBot), convert any measurement with ConvertBot, and perform math calculations with CalcBot. Yawn. They’re cute, but lets’ face it; unless you’re on a diet or using cookbook recipes from another country, you won’t have need for these apps all that often.

Best Feature – TweetBot takes the tedium out of Twitter.
