8 Free Applications To Record Your Computer Screen

Have you ever wanted to record a tutorial on the web? Well, with these applications you will be able to record you computer screen for any purpose you can think of. These different apps come with other great features that are greatly useful. Once you finish recording your video, you can post it to any video sites like Youtube.com. You can also narrate your video explaining the step. If you want to post it on your blog, you can do that easily by copy/pasting the embed code. Personally i like Screenr but thats just me. Get creative and try’em out.

Very useful applications! Maybe I should show these to a few friends who think downloading some stupid thing like this that is hard to use is amazing. Hah, I’ll show them.
good collection. The reason I don’t use free screen recording software is that none of them offer video editing feature which is also very limited in Windows movie maker. I use DemoCreator for PC and ScreenFlow for MAC. both of them are great. Hope there will be some freeware which offer editing features.

I totally agree, there is many different softwares out there that include awesome features for a price. I just wanted to let people know about all the free software.

It’s a nice and easy to use software, the only drawback is that the free version has a time limit of 5 min for recording.
delighted to see my favorite free applications computer screen record “Jing” present in this selection.
Since 4 year i don’t use anything else.
Great list freeware screen capture!
I used to use Screenpresso, Totally Free for Windows. Flexible, easy to use and comes with basic image editing e.g drop shadow, numbering, arrows, cropping. I think it’s ideal to make tutorial on windows screen.
