Freelancing jobs are great way to earn some extra money on the side, but most freelancers have trouble finding them. This is where we come in and help. We gathered some great resources, for finding job opportunities. The jobs range from programming, desingning, and writing. Please note that not all jobs are home based. There is an amazing amount of jobs posted. They range from freelance and full-time jobs, as well as both design and development.

Mashable is the leading job board for social media and web jobs. It’s the venue chosen by top brands and businesses looking for the very best talent in social media, marketing, and web development.

Powered by jobthread, wired jobs offers a great variety of jobs. The range from engineering all the way to design.

11. Fwa jobs

A very detailed high quality job board. There are tons of jobs and more are added daily.

12. Freelanceswitch

Freelanceswitch offers many freelancing jobs you can do anywhere.

13. Metafilter

MetaFilter Jobs is an area for sharing job openings among members of MetaFilter. If you’re logged in, and your latitude/longitude is stored in your profile, you’ll also see how far away each job is from you.

AllDevJobs is a job board for designers and developers seeking the best positions at top companies around the world. They strive to provide only the top jobs in development to the most targeted group of creative and technical professionals they possibly can.

Not alot of jobs posted, but the quality is very high.

A great source for developer based jobs.

Self explainable, also i would like to mention that anyone can sign up and post a job listing for free.

Freelancer.com is the world’s largest outsourcing marketplace for small business. Just sign up and find some awesome jobs.

20. Elance

Elance instantly matches employers with a ready and qualified workforce of more than 154,000 rated and tested professionals with technical, marketing and business skills, and provides the tools to manage online and pay for results.

21. Behance

Great variety of jobs, but they are mostly location based.

22. Odesk

An amazing source for jobs that are updated daily.

23. Sologig

A great search engine for jobs, just search freelancing and find what you like.

24. Getacoder

Name says it all, find a coder for your project.

25. Programmermeetdesigner

Pretty much the same as getacoder.com

26. Simplyhired

Search over 4,390,310 jobs across the web. Just type in any designated keyword and you’re good to go.

27. Yourwebjob

Great amount of location based design/developing jobs

A website ran by freelancers. Just search a keyword and review the results.

31. Designers-network

If you’re a creative agency or small business looking for a graphic or web designer, freelancer, a developer, or a design goddess, you can find one here.

32. Indeed

Probably one of the best job search engines around.

33. Javascript ninja

A great job resource for developers only.

34. Myblogguest

An awesome website, if you are looking to write for others and earn money doing it.

35. Noagenciesplease

A great resource for jobs and projects directed towards freelancers.

36. Odesk

A huge variety of jobs. Mainly for web designing, UI design, and web programming.

37. Searchwebjobs

SearchWebJobs was created to bring industry leading Web Designers, Developers, Managers, and Tech Pros together. A small website but is growing slowly.

38. Theidealcandidate

Very accurate search engine for the jobs. You can search for a job title, description, country, town… favourite cup of coffee… if it’s in the description, then it’ll be in the result.

39. Xemion

A Job aggregator that displays recent job listings from a number of different job boards.

40. Arstechnica

Offers a great variety of IT and programming location based jobs.

  13. I’ve only tried Freelancer.com and never got any work through it. The problem is that if you come from a country with a national minimum wage and a high cost of living it’s very easy to get undercut. I’ll definitely have a look at some of the others on this list though, thanks.
