The world’s first 32 channel, touch sensitive, control surface lets users wirelessly control all audio applications quickly, easily, and wirelessly. The app works in real-time, letting you be in two places at once.
8. Magic Piano – Free
Make music on the go with Magic Piano for your iPad or iPhone. The app transforms your screen into a keyboard, and lets you play through some of the best known tracks, as well as play a few ditties of your own. You can also duet with other app users all over the world, making this one of the iPad’s most popular music apps.
9. Karajan Pro – $9.99
For beginners or musicians who struggle with musical theory, this iPad app is brilliant. Karajan Pro helps you learn to play and to recognise various chords, pitch, sales, tempo, and musical signatures. With four modes, you can continue to grow and learn, as well as track your progress. This app really is like your own live-in music teacher.
10. Djay – $19.99
Transform your iPad into a full DJ system with this amazing app. Djay integrates your music library, letting you mix tracks wherever you are. The interface is really user friendly and boasts an impressive number of features including looping, live recording, scratching, pitch bend, and the addition of various effects.
While these apps won’t be suitable for every musician, some people will find they really enhance their playing. If you’re learning a new instrument, or looking to make music, this is a really great alternative.
