As we mentioned in our previous article, Youtube is the place to be. Focusing on promoting your brand through video will only attract more potential customers. Understanding that video content is vastly growing every single year. As sad as it might sound I know people who would much rather watch the news than reading it.
That kind of laziness is pretty scary for our future, however I don’t think textual based information will die anytime soon. This example just shows that people are very comfortable watching videos. So why not satisfy their habit with promotion?
Advertising is clearly more expensive on television than it is on the web. Now more than ever companies are focusing on creating creative viral content. Take for example Toyota; Back in 2010 they created a unique family rap called “Swagger Wagon.” The video was aimed to promote their new Sienna SE to middle class families.
We all realize that the video did not take itself seriously. Some people thought it’s funny, some thought it’s horrible. Either way, it spread like wildfire and ended up with over 10 million views. Now step back for a second and think how much money that 10 million views would have cost Toyota on television. Does not take a genius to realize that a low budget green screen production is far less expensive than television advertising.
Seeing this kind of reach, encourages corporate companies to create funny content. We all love a good laugh. Not only does it help brighten up your mood, but it also makes you live longer*. Now that we’ve got you brainstorming, don’t forget about one of the most important element; Your Youtube channel design!
While searching for great examples we saw major companies not even bothering to create an attractive/unique design for their brand. One would think a company that brings in a great amount of revenue would focus on looking professional on social networks huh? Looking attractive on all of your on all of your online venues is an absolute must. Ugly, built in, or pre-set designs will not wow people.
