Lessons Learnt from the Life of Anna Kendrick
Don’t Give Up, Try Harder.
“I started auditioning when I was about ten, and I didn’t get my first job until I was 12, and two years at that age is tough.” ~Anna Kendrick
Anna had been auditioning for two years before eventually landing her first role in “High Society,” in 2012.
There are times we repeatedly try to accomplish something, but our efforts do not pay off. We get drained, and uncertainties begin to creep in.
But what if trying a little more, a little harder, would bring that thing we so desire to us. Wouldn’t we channel energy into trying all over again and again? We certainly would. So, no matter how bad it gets, keep trying.
Improve, Adjust, and Overcome
“I’m attracted to things that directly oppose something that I’ve just done. It’s not like I’m trying to make the right chess move. It’s more just that personal thing where you get connected to something for so long, and then you want to do something in opposition to that.” ~Anna Kendrick
Anna was well known for taking comedy roles and playing them perfectly. Much later, she began to try other roles that weren’t comedy-related, and she also played them well.
As we evolve, trying new things and doing things differently should be incorporated into our daily lives. It is a way of developing ourselves and our interests too. It might turn out risky, but life itself is inherently risky. So, experience a variety of things and appreciate dynamism.
