I don’t think I need to teach you the value of vector graphics… We all love them. Mostly for their multipurpose application. You can take one graphic and use it virtually anywhere, and it looks equally just as good.
But praising vector graphics is not the point here. The point is to show you 8 places where you can go today and get yourself some free vector graphics.
However, always be careful and read the license agreement on each site. Not every license is the same, and there are some things you can and cannot do with certain graphics. You don’t want to get into trouble over a free graphic, do you?

(Just to make sure that we’re on the same page. In case you don’t know what a vector graphic is, it’s a graphic based on images made up of vectors – mathematical expressions. For more in-depth explanation feel free to visit Wikipedia. What it all means in plan English is that vector graphics can be scaled by any amount without degrading quality.)
Vecteezy
All the graphics available at Vecteezy are free to download and free to use (depending on the license). Apart from that, Vecteezy is also a place where you can explore and discuss the work of other people, and submit your own.
Brands of the World
Brands of the World is quite a unique site. It has the world’s largest collection of vector logos. So if you’re in need of Pepsi’s logo, for example, go ahead and visit Brands of the World. You can also submit your own work and rank the work of other people.
Vector4Free.com
The site provides quite an impressive vector art collection which you can use for various purposes. You can find images presenting anything from simple icons, patterns, through product images, logos, up to complex vector art.
Vectorportal
Vectorportal provides many categories of downloads, so you’re sure to find something interesting. Just to name a few: logos, flags, maps, symbols, banners, backgrounds, silhouettes, and all kinds of other things.
FreeVectors.net
FreeVectors.net has been around since 2007. The site has a bit outdated design, but the vectors are of great quality. The creators have devoted themselves to create an easily searchable catalogue of free vector graphics, and that’s exactly what they did.
VectorStock.com
VectorStock mostly focuses on royalty free vectors, but they also have a section for free vectors, and that’s what we’re discussing right now. Those free vectors are of really good quality as they’re meant to attract people to the site, and convert them into paying customers.
QVectors
Yet another site with truly nice vectors. Some things you can find there: backgrounds, icons, nature, ornaments, silhouettes, shapes, buildings, banners, abstract, and much more. The site is part of a bigger network featuring four other sites: QBrushes, QFonts, QTextures, QIcons.
CoolVectors.com
CoolVectors.com has more than 2 million vector graphics to offer. That’s a nice index, isn’t it? Some things you can find: illustrations, grunge, images of people, nature, ornaments, patterns, shapes, symbols, website elements, and more.
This concludes the list, but I have a question to you: Do you know of any other sources of great free vector graphics? Don’t hesitate to shoot me a comment.
