Nicholas Kolcheff was born on November 21, 1990, in Detroit, Michigan, United States, to Kevin Kolcheff. Not much is known about his mother’s name. As a Gears of War professional, Nickmercs, together with his team Th3 NSAN3Z, went on to earn several prestigious gaming titles. They include MLG Dr Pepper, MLG Anaheim, and MLG Orlando National Championships titles. Around the same period, Nickmercs was also a professional Halo player. However, he didn’t last so long at the Halo franchise. Instead, he joined Twitch (formerly Justin.tv) and decided to focus on streaming. Nickmercs officially began streaming on Twitch in 2010.
