Insecurity has haunted everyone in their life. We are constantly bombarded by the images of beautiful models and celebrities. The sad thing is that gullible people allow mainstream media to impose foolish ideology of how things are and how things should be.
You don’t have to wear makeup. You don’t have to be skinny to be beautiful. You don’t have to buy expensive accessories and clothes. You don’t need fancy/luxury cars. You don’t have to be a victim of marketing. Don’t ever accept what other people think or do. Evaluating ideas and listed to everyone, but always think for yourself.
Metra Bruno and Laurence Jeanson decided to poke fun at the retouching industry. I’m sure you’re fully aware, or at least have a clue about the mass Photoshop retouching that goes on after photo shoots. This creative experiment was concluded to show a notion of identity. The portraits are accompanied by magazine cutouts, which are then taped to the models faces. I think the overall message is that beauty is no longer natural, but rather socially conditioned.
