Robin Williams’ entry to the comedy scene started with his stand-up acts in California. He performed in nightclubs where he was discovered for the role of “Mork, from Ork”, in an episode of Happy Days (1974). The episode Happy Days: My Favorite Orkan (1978), led to Robin having his own show Mork and Mindy (1978). His first debut in a starring role was when he played the titular character in Popeye (1980).
