Rodarius Marcell Green was born on August 27, 1998, in St. Petersburg, Florida, United States. There’s little information about his parents and family.
Rod Wave launched his music career in 2016. He immediately began working on his mixtape titled Rookie of the Year. The mixtape was self-released on July 25, 2017, and is mostly available in digital format.
Wave self-released another mixtape titled, Hunger Games Vol.1, on December 12, 2017. He followed up with several self-released mixtapes before signing with Alamo Records.
