For a vast number of people, Friday is the best day of the week. However, there’s something about Thursday that makes it feel almost just as good. Once you get past the proverbial hump that is Wednesday, you realize that it’s smooth sailing from thereon out.
Of course, whether or not Thursday is a good day is purely subjective. Some people see Thursdays as just one more step closer to getting a break, but other people would simply much rather get all of the waiting over and done with.
They definitely aren’t as despised as Mondays, but your appreciation for Thursdays depends on your mindset. The anticipation for the weekends is either a cause for grief or for celebration.
If you hate Thursdays, here’s a short list of things that may help you see the day’s brighter side:
The Weekend is Right Around the Corner
To some, Thursday feels like a reminder that the week has been going on for far too long, but a more optimistic way of looking at is seeing it as the “beginning of the end” of the work week.
Sure, Thursdays aren’t quite as hyped up as much as Fridays are, but they are still just one step forward from the weekend.
It’s a Great Time to Celebrate
Have you ever noticed that local bars tend to be lively during Thursdays? A lot of people go out for drinks, particularly with colleagues, on Thursday nights, so they can make time on Fridays and the weekend for family and other friends.
Opting for “Thirsty Thursdays” would help you avoid having to spend your weekend nursing Friday alcohol-induced headaches. And while going out on a Thursday night won’t guarantee that you’ll be free of hangovers the next day, the idea that you need to go to work in the morning may help keep you from drinking too much.
Need a little something to get you through the rest of a long, tiring week? Maybe some of these quotes about “Friday Eve” can help shine a little bit of positivity on you:
