Dan Peterson is a freelance designer and illustrator from Portland, OR. He holds over 4 years of experience in branding/identity, print, and interactive design under his belt. I recently ran into his work on Tumblr and decided to share my findings with you. His latest project titled “Tiny Planets” consists of 360 panoramic photos turned into tiny planets. The abstract results are thought provoking to say the least and are bound to inspire any fellow artist traveling the creative path. Enjoy!
“Since figuring out what stereographic projection means, I have been obsessed with making these tiny planets. It started out with creating fictional planets, writing lengthy descriptions of their history, the story of their discovery, composition, extraterrestrial profile, gravity index, and whole bunch of other statistics.” – Dan Peterson
