William Mattar is an American attorney and social media personality. In 1990, he founded the William Mattar Law Office- a Buffalo-based personal injury law firm focusing on motor vehicle accident victims with the desire to help injured victims. The firm was named one of the best law firms in New York City in 2008.
In October 2020, William Mattar worked with Lerner Advertising to produce the “How Cool” television commercial, including a series of other television commercials.
A year later, William Mattar law offices won a Golden Gavel Award for its “How Cool” 30-second television commercial, making it the second year in a row that William received a nomination for the award. Early Life and Career Information
On November 24, 1963, in Buffalo, New York City, William Mattar was born to Peter Mattar, a New York lawyer, and Phyllis Mattar, a native New York woman.
William went to Amherst Central High School in Amherst, New York. Then, he went to the State University of New York College in Plattsburgh, where he spent four years before graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
A few years later, he earned his Ph.D. from the Syracuse University College of Law in New York. After this, he took and passed the New York State bar exams.
William worked for a couple of law firms before opening his law firm- William Mattar law office, in 1990, in Buffalo, Williamsville. Initially, the law firm focused on public and general law, attending to legal issues of different natures.
Later on, William switched up to personal injury law and began to represent motor accident victims legally.
He has been a member of the Salvation Army Red Kettle since 2009 and is currently a member of the Erie County and Monroe County Bar Associations. He also served as the Special Fundraiser Chair and the local troop leader for the Greater Niagara Frontier Council.
Additionally, William is an animal lover and an “Eagle Scout” in the Boy Scouts of the American Organization, of which he has also been the chairman of the annual dinner since 2002.
