Clinton Orr has always had a passion for helping others, providing his many clients with the opportunity to achieve financial success. This same passion has translated into his deep concern for the welfare of animals, and his support for the Passion Project and Pet Life Animal Fund.
Clinton Orr’s career as a respected financial professional began in 2003, after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in commerce and earning multiple designations, including financial planning, investment management, and derivatives markets. A founding member of Becker Orr Wealth Management, he currently services as a Senior Wealth Advisor and Senior Portfolio Manager with Canaccord Genuity Corp.
During his time in the industry, Clinton has been able to establish a variety of relationships with business owners, retirees, and business professionals. He has built a successful wealth management practice through hard work, a love for his job, and empathy for his clients. He has set himself apart by building a dedicated team of professionals through a process called Financial Architecture, allowing him and his team to build a customized financial plan that addresses his clients’ needs.
Clinton was recognized for his efforts in 2021, winning the Wealth Management Advisor of the Year for Canada, as part of Finance Monthly’s Global Awards. He was also the central region winner of the Client Dedication Award presented by Canaccord Genuity.
However, Clinton Orr does more than just help his clients reach their financial goals. One of his life’s passions is helping animals.
Clinton and his wife Jodi live in rural Winnipeg, Manitoba, with their own unique furry family. They enjoy spending their time together watching sports and enjoying each other’s company. The pair are passionate dog lovers who strive to support their charitable initiative, the Pet Life Animal Fund.
The goal of the Pet Life Animal Fund is to provide support for Manitoba shelters by covering vet bills, allowing those pets to get healthy and find new homes.
As of today, Clinton and his wife have successfully supported multiple animals who desperately needed medical treatment and otherwise may not have been adoptable.
For Clinton and Jodi, there is nothing more important to them than ensuring an animal can have a better quality of life, finding it worth all of the time and dedication they put into providing Manitoba shelters with the ability to help.
According to petkeen.com, the number of animals surrendered to shelters is the primary concern for most welfare organizations. It’s reported that approximately 700,000 animals are awaiting adoption in Canada. Due to this, many animals are being euthanized simply because there aren’t enough resources available to care for them.
These staggering numbers are just some of the motivations for Clinton and Jodi to continue their efforts to support local shelters in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Since the passing of the family’s beloved dog Bubba, the pair has only continued to grow their own furry family. To date, they have a cat, multiple rescue dogs, and dogs from breeders. The couple proudly shows their family consisting of their kitty Ashes, and pups Thor, Loki, and Maxx.
Together, they have plans to further support the Pet Life Animal Fund to give many more furry friends a chance for a better life.
When not working, Clinton Orr trains in Jiu-Jitsu, where he got his start in his thirties and currently holds a blue belt. He and his wife are also avid sports fans and enjoy spending time together watching the Winnipeg Jets and Winnipeg Blue Bombers games.
