The Cork & Chroma Melbourne studio is on the southern end of Smith Street, at number 36, in the inner-city arts precinct of Collingwood/Fitzroy. In a fun setting with your loved ones, friends, fam, or rolling alone, our team and studio space aim to inspire your creativity, allow you to try something new, and celebrate life through the paint medium.
We say that more is better! We collaborate with various brands and host some of Melbourne’s finest drag performers, including the fabulous and formidable Art Simone. We cater to painters of all ages with our All Ages and Family paint n sip south melbourne sessions. We also hold regular pop-up paint and sip sessions at locations throughout the greater Melbourne area, including at our favorite Yarra Valley winery, Elmswood Estate.
Good to know
We have two physical studios in the 4101 postcode (South Brisbane, specifically). Our flagship studio, “Montague Road,” is on the Kurilpa Point end, next to Parmalat and around the corner from GoMA. At 44 Montague Road, South Brisbane, we paint like mad six days a week.
Options for Brisbane Sessions
There are many options for making the most of your time before or after the session because there are so many local bars and restaurants along this entertainment strip. Our second Brisbane studio has dual frontages on both Little Stanley Street and Grey Street, putting it in the center of the South Bank Parklands precinct. Even though our official address is 15A Little Stanley Street, you will probably be greeted on the Grey Street side when you enter.
Options for Brisbane Session Our public sessions last three hours and include step-by-step instructions from a Cork & Chroma artist. All levels of expertise are welcome. You bring your wine and people (or come alone and make new friends), and we provide the art.
Collaborations
We specialize in celebrations! We would be delighted to assist you in honoring your milestone with a Private Event if you are celebrating a special occasion such as a birthday party, hen’s party, team building event, or something else. Check our availability by checking the Calendar.
We likewise offer family meetings for our maturing specialists, which run for two hours and, dissimilar to our public and confidential sessions, are BYO non-cocktails, as it were.
Don’t worry if you can’t make it to our studios or prefer to paint at home. With our streaming series, Happy Painting—coming soon!—you can paint along at home.
We love getting inventive with our contributions and building organizations with brands that energy with us. PARKING
We have a few options to make your journey to and from each city as simple as possible, whether you are arriving by car or taking public transportation. See beneath for your city/studio subtleties.
Which means of transportation is the closest? Trams run along Victoria, Gertrude, and Smith Streets, all within a two- to five-minute walk. Collingwood, North Richmond, and Parliament train stations are inside a 15-20min leave.
Is there a public parking facility nearby? Please pay attention to the signage for specifics. On Smith Street and the streets that surround it, meter parking is available with varying limits and free time zones.
