Shailene Woodley was born in San Bernardino, California, on the 15th of November, 1991, to Lori and Lonnie Woodley. Her parents were both educators, her mother being a school counselor and her father a school principal. Shailene began modeling at four, and by the time she was five, she was already taking acting classes. At 15, Shailene was diagnosed with scoliosis and had to wear a brace as a freshman at Simi Valley High School.
