Usually when we look at well know brands, we express a certain feeling towards them. Some have a positive, while some have a negative.
Viktor Hertz, a freelance Graphic Designer from Sweden, has took on the challenge to express the publics generalized opinion about the brands we all know, hate, or love. His “Honest Logos” have gained traction on Flickr, and the community loves them!
“An idea for a series with honest logos, revealing the actual content of the company, what they really should be called. Some are cheap, some might be a bit funny, some will maybe be brilliant. I don’t know.” says Viktor Hertz.
False advertising has haunted the consumer for ages. While some products may be shady, we, as the consumer, should be able to analyze the dishonest statements. People who are more aware of corporate companies, know tons of dirt about them.
Being the geek I am, researching about a product before purchase is my golden rule. Understanding the pros/cons of a specific item will help you stay ahead and spend your hard earned money wisely!
Previously we showcased great logo designs, talked about redesigns, and branding. Now it’s time to take a look at an ironic concept; What would happen if companies created honest logos?
Most of the following logos are pretty much on the negative side. Don’t let that concept discourage you however, because I guarantee you will have a laugh or two while scrolling down.
The following logos are pretty bold and straight to the point. Contributing a few logos on a monthly basis, we are positive Viktor has more truthful logos on the way!
